Orders & execution
ForTrading desks
Order types
| Type | What it does |
|---|---|
| Market | Execute now at the best available price |
| Limit | Execute when the market reaches your price |
| Exchange | Route through a connected exchange account (Binance, Coinbase, Kraken) |
Orders execute from your org's treasury wallets — there's no separate trading balance to fund and no custodial pot. Quick token-to-token swaps use the same order entry.
How execution stays controlled
- A trader with Initiate on Trade places the order.
- Policy checks run — allowed pairs, allowed order types, max slippage, size thresholds.
- If a threshold requires it, the order waits on the Approvals page for Approve sign-off.
- The transaction is signed by your org — your own wallet or a paired Mooneum Signer device — and published.
Bitcoin routes differently
Bitcoin has no Uniswap-style on-chain liquidity, so BTC-involving trades route through THORChain automatically — same order entry, different plumbing.
Selling BTC: you broadcast, not us
A BTC sell produces a deposit transaction that you broadcast from your own wallet — Mooneum never holds a Bitcoin private key at any point in the flow.
